Produced by Edward Gibbons-Brown in association with Gaston Leguizamon and Agustina García Ramírez, the production brings together acclaimed theater and independent artistic collaboration.

The Play

For more than two decades, Underneath the Lintel has captivated audiences with its compelling storytelling and unforgettable central performance.

Written by Glen Berger, the play premiered in Los Angeles in 2001 before transferring Off-Broadway to Soho Playhouse, where it ran for more than 450 performances and was named one of Time Out New York's "Ten Best Plays of the Year."

Since then, Underneath the Lintel has been produced internationally, including London's West End and a BBC Radio 4 adaptation starring Emmy Award winner Richard Schiff.

Underneath the Lintel returns to New York for a one-night-only performance on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM at UNDER St. Marks Theater.
